Descriptions of the activities along with bios for the pro staff:

Bait Casting presented by Mark Tobin, The American Outdoorsman® Pro Staff
A bait casting reel does many fishing tasks better than other kinds of reels, and they are the standard in bass fishing. When you first get one they can be intimidating but you can learn to fish with one with a little time and effort.  Mark Tobin, will teach and demonstrate bait casting techniques.  Attendees will have time to try out what they have learned and ask questions.  Bring your own bait casting rod or use one of the closed face rods provided by The American Outdoorsman®.

Bio: As The American Outdoorsman®'s top angler, Mark Tobin shares a lifetime of fishing experiences, including more than 10 years of tournament fishing. Tournament fishing has taught Mark how to be successful in all sorts of fishing conditions - techniques he's quick to share with The American Outdoorsman® audience across the nation.  More important to Mark than just catching fish is educating viewers and showing the fun and excitement the sport has to offer.

Game Calling presented by Scott Hall, The American Outdoorsman® Pro Staff
To be consistently successful, a hunter needs all the advantages he can possibly get to overcome the three main defenses of the animal he is hunting their nose, ears and eyes.  Scott Hall will discuss and demonstrate techniques to help you be successful in focusing on how to call duck, geese, turkey, elk, and whitetail deer.  Time will be allowed for questions and equipment trials.

Bio: Scott Hall recently joined The American Outdoorsman® Pro Staff  but is certainly not new to being a professional hunter.  He has pro staffed with Sokol Associates Inc, who represents lines including Loggy Bayou tree stands and Steiner Binoculars.   Scott was recently awarded a national Pro Staff award with Hudalla and Associates, who represents Primos Game Calls, Fred Bear Archery, Big Game Tree Stands, Trophy Ridge and Biologic.  Scott was born and raised in Kansas City.  His favorite hunting includes waterfowl and large animals.  As a professional hunter, Scott earned his reputation of being versatile and knowledgeable.

Trail Riding co-presented by Kirt Davis and Dominic Pugliese
Single track mountain biking is a quickly growing sport, and can be done by just about anyone regardless of age or experience.  With a few basic techniques you too can master trail riding.  Pro Staff Kirt Davis and Dominic Pugliese will provide instruction and demonstration of basic riding techniques for different trail conditions.  They will provide information for quick trail-side bike repairs and maintenance for those times when you need it most.  A short guided practice track will be available for attendees to ride and try these techniques for themselves.  Bring your bike own bike, our use one that we provide.

Personal water craft paddling co-presented by Kirt Davis and Dominic Pugliese
Whether you are on a placid lake or a raging river there are different paddle strokes to use that can get you into that perfect spot for casting your fishing line, or making sure you negotiate a river safely.  Kirt and Nic will provide instruction, and demonstrate many useful paddle strokes and how to control your personal water craft.  An obstacle course, water craft and safety equipment will be available for attendees to try these techniques for themselves.

Bio: Kirt Davis a Preserve manager for Thousand Trails is a professional outdoorsman who has been an avid trail rider for over 17 years. There is no trail that Kirt doesn’t love or won’t ride; whether it’s the familiar trails of his childhood home in Hood River, Oregon, or the challenging Slickrock trails of Moab, Utah. While he is no stranger to competitive riding he prefers to ride trails ‘off the beaten path’ that offer solitude and adventure. The sport of mountain biking, and it’s associated health benefits (fresh air, great exercise, and the scenic views along the way), is a passion that Kirt loves to share with others.

Kirt’s paddling experience started in the Pacific Northwest where he spent 7 years as a professional whitewater guide. He then took on a new challenge of open bowed kayaking and continued to hone his paddling skills on the rivers and lakes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  His Class I – V+ paddling experience on over 20 rivers includes all the forks of the American River, the Colorado River, the Rogue River, the Feather, the Deschutes, Wailua River in Kauai, Hawaii among many others. He is quoted as saying, “The most important thing when participating in an outdoor adventure, is to surround yourself with people you can trust and know will respect your personal comfort zone”.

Bio: As a Certified Trainer for the National Outdoor Leadership School, ELS Resort Manager Dominic Pugliese is a long-time Recreation Professional with experience in a variety of adventure pursuits. He is an accomplished skydiver, and BMX and mountain bike racer, with professional experience in: rafting, sea kayaking, biking, snow shoeing, Nordic skiing, and wilderness survival instruction.
