A Road Trip to Klamath River RV Park
By Linda Archie - Manager, Resort Services
Klamath River RVI went to the Redmond Rally in Redmond, Oregon in July of this year and came back to Southern California via the coast. What a beautiful coastline that is.

We drove out of the California Redwoods right into Klamath River RV Park in Klamath, California and are so happy we did. What a beautiful campground, right on the Klamath River. Jack the owner has put his heart and soul into this campground. There are blue and purple hydrangeas the size of basketballs, beautiful flowers everywhere. Jack has placed comfy chairs strategically throughout the park so you can sit and look at the many wonderful views. There is a community bonfire that was being used by everyone.

As luck would have it, a mama whale and her baby were in the river under the bridge when we arrived. She caused quite a stir with the locals, tourist and the media. We could hear her during the night. Our site faced the river and it was so peaceful, we even talked to one of the campers that saw a 30 pound salmon and was going back out (off the bank!) to try and catch it.

There is so much to do in that area: The Redwoods, state and national parks, jet boat tours, drive through tree and Trees of Mystery. This campground should not be missed when traveling in that area. I can assure you will not be disappointed.

Check out their website at www.klamathriverrv.com. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1-800-456-7774.
